  •  Prior to the first study group meeting, each participant should login to the web-based study tools at, take the pretest and complete the SmartStudy tool. This information will help your group target the most challenging topics and optimize the group’s study time by focusing on areas that need more attention.


  • All participants have their own APICS CLTD Learning System; individual preparation time is a pre-requisite.
  • The group meets at the scheduled time to discuss the content/questions that each member has for that module section. Study sessions can be held in-person, via Skype, WebEx, or conference call.
  • Access the Study Group Timing Plan under Study Tools in the online Resource Center of the CLTD Learning System. It provides a path for your study group to complete the Learning System in 10 and 12 weeks.


Timing suggestion

  • Kickoff/planning meeting.
